THE SQUIRREL

Once upon a time there lived a squirrel in the forest who worked for his master. He was very hard working and would always put extra efforts. His master had promised to give him 10 bags of walnuts as reward if he continued to put same efforts.
The squirrel was happy and kept on working extra hours even though his earnings were sufficient to meet his needs. At times he wished to join his friends and family for fun and games, but the thought of the reward made him focus only on the work.
He continued this way ,without taking enough rest and one day pleased with his work and dedication, his master called him and rewarded him with the promised reward of 10 big bags full of walnuts.
The squirrel happily carried the bags home and retired from the job.
He started making plans about how to enjoy his reward ,when he suddenly realized that due to all the hard work and his efforts all these years his teeth have worn out and he cannot eat the nuts.

This sounds familiar. We all fall in this trap of -one day. We keep on postponing things for a future day or event. How often have we cancelled a vacation, a joy trip, a me time for the sake of the uncertain future? The IF THAT, then THIS factor keeps on overpowering us till the time we sit back and regret for not doing the things that we wanted to do.

Don’t be the squirrel, take a pause, be in the present, enjoy the moments and live your life!
Do not shift your happiness for tomorrow, there is no tomorrow, it’s only HERE and NOW!
